Mayor of Conifer to meet Conifer Community Center Board

Garlands the hamster was elected Conifer Mayor and Bucky, a Norwegian Eklhound, was elected as Mayor pro tem (first runner-up) by the residents of Conifer this summer in a tight race with seven other dogs and a turtle.
The two dignitaries and their families will meet the Conifer Community Center Board and the media and will be available for photos during this event. Board officers are Skip Shirlaw, president; Irv Saltzman, vice president; Erika Armstrong, secretary; and Ray Guerette, treasurer. Other board members are Cathy Baim, Jeff Lindsay, Bill Turner, Marilyn Saltzman and Carol Ziller.
The mayoral election was a fundraiser for the Conifer Community Center, whose vision is to provide a quality, environmentally friendly facility to include indoor and outdoor amenities and activities for community members of all ages.
Marilyn Saltzman is a member of the Conifer Community Center Board of directors.
