Conifer man places at World Karate Tournament

David Sasaki of Conifer attended the 2008 World Wado-Kai Karate Championship Tournament Aug. 21 through 23 in Vancouver, Canada.

The tournament brought more than 20 countries and 600 competitors. David placed with a bronze medal -- 3rd place -- in the kata (forms) division.

David is the owner and head instructor of the Conifer Japanese Karate-Do in Aspen Park -- in the Peak Academy of Dance studio. Conifer Japanese Karate teaches traditional Japanese karate for all ages. For more information on the school, call 303-838-0269 or visit the website at www.coniferwado.org.
