Starbucks’ 2006 YourHub Teacher Campaign
Contest Rules and Regulations

How to Enter-  The 2006-2007 Spring Semester “Top Teacher” campaign begins January 11, 2007 and ends May 3, 2007 with the announcement of the winning teacher for the Spring semester. All entry forms must be submitted online through YourHub.com, and must be received by midnight April 26, 2007. No purchase is necessary for entry.

You may nominate an outstanding teacher (teaching grade K-12) through electronic means online at www.yourhub.com (upon entering the home page click on “Colorado” in the upper right-hand corner of the page, thenà click on your city/town to enter your specific Hub) beginning 12:00:01 am (MST) (as determined on Sponsor’s server clock) on January 11, 2007. At the website, click on the “Starbucks’ Top Teacher” contest icon to access the online entry form. Upon completion of the entry form and acceptance of the official rules, you will be recorded as having made one entry into the sweepstakes. You are responsible for any telephone charges, and normal time rates, if any, charged by your internet provider.

Prize Description- One Starbucks gift card will be awarded to the weekly teacher (nominee) chosen for that week. The weekly prizes will consist of a $25 gift card valid at any Denver Metro Starbucks location.

The Fall contest will consist of 1-10 weekly selected “nominee” teachers, featured every Thursday in print and online at www.yourhub.com from October 5, 2006-November 16, 2006.

The Spring contest will consist of 1-10 weekly selected “nominee” teachers, featured every Thursday in print and online at www.yourhub.com from February 15, 2007-April 19, 2007.

One final winning teacher, chosen at the end of each semester from the pool of weekly nominees, will be awarded the grand prize of one years’ worth of Starbucks whole bean coffee, a starbucks card loaded with $150 and a barista espresso machine.

Eligibility- The contest is open to all American Citizens or lawful permanent or temporary residents of the United States who are 13 years of age or older and a legal United States resident at the time of entry, excluding Rhode Island residents, to nominate any grade K-12 teacher in the state of Colorado.

Entries will be declared by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Service Provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. All entries become the property of the Denver Newspaper Agency (“DNA”).

No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Prizes are non-transferable.

Winner Selection-
The fall campaign will consist of seven (7) nominees, one for each of the seven (7) weeks of the Fall contest (October 5-November 16, 2006), who will be given to a panel of judges to determine the ultimate winner for the semester, to be published in YourHub on December 14, 2006.

The spring semester will mimic the structure of the Fall semester, but will consist of 1-10 teacher nominees, one for each of the ten (10) weeks of the Spring campaign (February 15-April 19th), with the nominees being sent to the panel of judges to select the winning teacher of the semester, one selected per week, beginning February 15, 2007. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of selection. If a winner does not respond after 7 days, or if a winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries received. Winners must execute and return DNA’s Affidavit of Eligibility and a Release of Liability form and provide a copy of the winner's driver's license or suitable photo ID within 10 days of notification. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.

General Conditions - Entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Contest Rules and by the decisions of the judging organization, which shall be final on all matters pertaining to the give-away. This give-away is governed by the laws of the United States and is void where restricted or prohibited by law. All federal, state, local laws and regulations apply. Official Sweepstakes Rules are available by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Denver Newspaper Agency, First Floor Customer Service Counter, 101 W. Colfax Ave., Denver, CO 80202.

Limitations of Liability - DNA is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the digital printing give-away or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submission in the digital printing give-away. DNA assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. DNA is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this give-away. If, for any reason, the Starbucks Coffee give-away is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of DNA, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this give-away, DNA reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Starbucks Coffee give-away.
