Earlier this month, my boyfriend and I spent a few days in Southern California celebrating Christmas early with his family.
The trip was complete with fun moments with family and friends and bites of excellent homemade food. Lots of teenage girls swirling around. Not enough jeweled spaghetti squash (you can get the
recipe on the
Better Homes & Gardens site when you register for free) twirling on my fork.
But all of that fades to the background when I think about my favorite California destination:
In-N-Out Burger.
Ever since tasting my first In-N-Out Burger in September 2005, I have longed for the next bite. So I committed the cardinal sin of sons' girlfriends everywhere by politely telling my manI needed toeat one before we got to his mother's house - even though I knew she had just made a mound of her signature enchiladas.
At the Ontario exit, there it was (and at about every other California highway exit to be honest). I took a photo of my meal and savored every little bite. The burger was just as wonderful as I remembered, so I again wondered when, oh, when will In-N-Out come to Denver? I e-mailed the company detailing my longing, and here's the response I received:
Dear Fairlight Baer:
Thank you for your e-mail. It's always nice to hear from our customers, and we appreciate your interest.
Although we are unable to confirm a site in Denver, Colorado at this time, we planon expanding as far as we can, and particularly into areas in which our customers have expressed interest. As such, we are happy to let our Real Estate Department know that you are anxious to have an In-N-Out Burger® location in your area!
Thank you again for contacting us, and I hope you enjoy safe travels and a tasty In-N-Out Burger next time you come to California, Arizona or Nevada!
Sincerely,
Sara Vosicka
