Unlike my co-workers, who tirelessly pound the pavement all around the Denver metro area on a daily basis in pursuit of stories and photos, I'm pretty much stuck to my desk during the day. I suppose that's the price of being the (managing) editor in charge.
But we all need a creative outlet to avoid going all
Office Space on a printer, so I'm giving myself, and anyone who wants to join me, a challenge:
Post one photo every day for six months
That's pretty much it. Take and post one photo every day until May 12. Sounds simple, but after a while, it's going to force some creativity to keep from posting
another photo of the view from YourHub.com World Headquarters.
Here are my arbitrary rules:
1) The photo must be taken on the day it's posted. Otherwise, I have several years' worth of backlogged shots that I've never posted. The idea is to keep it fresh.
2) If you can't get to a computer on any given day (say, a weekend camping/skiing trip or something), you are allowed to post photos taken on those days in the next post.
Got it? Let me know in the comments if you'll try to join me on my quest and I'll link to your blogs in all of my future posts.
