The first weekend of the daily photo challenge proved exactly what I was afraid of: It's really hard to sit down and post a photo when you're so busy enjoying your two days off.
Well, that's what Sunday nights are for!
Photo #1: In search of a great Saturday lunch, Sarah and I went searching for the Masterpiece Deli in the Riverfront area. We couldn't find it, and despite the fact it would have been easy to find, we got distracted by how delicious Jay's Patio Cafe, 2563 Upper 15th Street, looked/smelled.
I was not disappointed, especially in the egg, bacon, green chili, tabasco on ciabatta sandwich and Orange Crush (in the bottle) I devoured.
There was a nice bit of symmetry when Sarah and I put down our bottles after the first swig.
Photo #2: Broomfield High School, site of Sunday's Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports All-State volleyball game (my sister,
Emily, was chosen to play, so that's great).
A closer look at the girls 4A 2004 State Championship second place trophy proved that something was a little off. It just makes it all the more impressive that those girls got second place holding the club like that.
