Turn New Years Resolutions into $$

We're now just one week away from the annual tradition of making New Years Resolutions. But this year - you can turn them into $$, for yourself, your company (see www.uscorporatewellness.com) or your family.

You're probably well aware that the health care and disability costs (not to mention sick time and retention) costs of those people who take good care of themselves are significantly less than for those who choose not to do so (we're not talking about everyone who suffers an unfortunate health issue but rather focusing on the 70% or so of health issues that are directly related to personal choices). The problem is - your employer - if not incorporating an employee wellness program, is simply spreading the costs equally.

That means you're being penalized even though you're taking good care of yourself! Money that could be going to your next raise is being diverted to someone else's health care expenditures. But it doesn't have to be that way.

An effective employee wellness program can reward those who take a few simple steps toward better health. That doesn't necessarily mean running a marathon - it means simply caring - and showing it in your actions.

If you think it sounds like a good idea but aren't sure where to start, your employer would probably be interested in the White Paper on the ROI of Employee Wellness at the following link: http://www.uscorporatewellness.com/USCW%20-%20White%20Paper%202009.pdf

So this year - make sure your New Year's Resolution put money in your pocket. It's not all that hard to do!
