When
Charles Schulz wrote
Happiness is a Warm Puppy, he forgot one important note: said puppy should, preferably, not reek.
Townes, the now 13-week-old, had gotten himself in to his fair share of unsavory substances around the apartment building in the first few days we had him, which combined with general puppy secretions of various kinds, and was in pretty dire need of a bath.
The puppy shampoo included a warning that "a slippery puppy can be wily," which I think gives you a pretty good idea of how the whole enterprise went down.
He behaved surprisingly well, in a too-shocked-and-frightened-to-do-anything-about-it way, but he resisted the drying part of the operation more than the washing, oddly. He has a love/hate relationship with towels for some reason. Maybe he was a nerdy junior high kid with bad locker room experiences in a past life.
Anyway,
Sarah and I got some pretty great photos out of the bath experienceand the adjacent hours, so click away to take a look (I suggest clicking on the photos to see them much larger).
As usual, if you've got any pet photos/stories to share, post them here on YourHub.com and we can all commiserate.
