DeVotchKa drops by Denver for CD release party

Local heroes DeVotchKa packed the Ogden Theater July 14 to celebrate the release of their EP Curse Your Little Heart and the film Little Miss Sunshine, which the band scored.

Acrobats, rope dancers and elaborately costumed presenters created a carnivalesque scene, as fitting the band's European/New Wave/Mariachi sound.

The band played a mix of fan favorites tracks from the new EP, which features covers of songs by the likes of Frank Sinatra and the Velvet Underground.
