NCAA Bracket Watch 2007: I'm screwed

The basketball gods do not like me this year.

The demigods of roundball smote not one, not two, but three of my Final Four picks, including my champion, Wisconsin, leaving me all but finished in the YourHub.com march Madness Bracket pool. And we're not even to the third round! I had to expect Nevada to lose to red-hot Memphis, but Wisconsin? Come on Badgers, help a brother out. This is because I don't eat cheese, isn't it? And Texas? I'm just disappointed.

YourHub.com community journalist Brendan Leonard has taken over the lead spot from first-day leader Kevin Villegas, who is languishing in second place, exactly one point behind. I'm currently tied for sixth out of eight in the pool, but that is going to change quickly. Even if I nail every single remaining pick, I can score a maximum of 67 of the possible 192 points. In contrast, leaders Leonard and Villegas can still score 173 and 160 respectively.

My boyfriend, upon hearing that the last few march madness winners on espn.com were women who knew nothing about basketball...made me do a bracket. I picked my teams, honestly, based on which team had the biggest arms. I think he said I'm number 1 millionsomethingth.. So, I'm doing pretty good.

Simple Math will rule.
