Hey, did you notice that if you put an "r" in front of October, the month in which playoff baseball occurs, it sounds like a combination of "Rockies" and "October"? Someone should really do something with this startling discovery, like write a front page headline or seven, or mention it in a blog entry, or make some signs and hats and t-shirts and bumper stickers and temporary tattoos!
But since the Rockies' corporate thugs are already trying to copyright the phrase, the festering minds of YourHub.com decided to come up with other local mascot/month pairings to replace the ubiquitous and really, really annoying "Rocktober" (Please don't sue, Monforts!). Feel like you're funnier than us? As unlikely as that is, we're not some ivory tower journalists, tosssing our intellectual scraps to the masses here. We want to read your scraps, too.
