Starbucks announced today the store in the Denver Newspaper Agency building will close Oct. 24.
The 101 W. Colfax Ave. location is among
nine of the coffee giants' shops in Colorado that will close in the next year. In July, Starbucks announced 600 stores across the U.S. would shutter by mid-2008.
Sidney in the DNA's location told me today told me that she and her co-workers would be moved to other stores in the downtown Denver area.
I am debating which my favorite memory is of the store downstairs:
1. Starbucks gave everyone in the building a $5 gift card when they moved in.
2. One of the female employees made out with a man, sporting a grande piece of evidence on his neck, on the cushy chair next to me while I was having a work meeting one morning.
