2007 Charity Chili Cook-Off
We all know that there is not much better than a great bowl of chili on a brisk Fall afternoon. Hope Fellowship Church is presenting the 2007 Charity Chili Cook-Off to raise awareness to the working hungry among us. We are raising funds for local food banks who serve those in our community who live in apartments and homes around us but have trouble making ends meet. By participating as a competition team you are helping us raise funds for food banks that help the invisible hungry in our communities. Please put together a team and challenge your church or friends to do the same. Or just join us for great chili. This years proceeds benefit WINN Ministries a long-standing food bank and resource center. This first-annual event will be held at Colorado Community Church at Hampden Ave. and Colorado Blvd. Teams wanting to compete can go to www.hfcdenver.org and download registration and rules forms. Registration fee is $20 per team. The event is open to the public and we will provide live music and a fun family atmosphere. Chili tasting will be $10 per head for unlimited chili tasting. There will be awards for best judged chili and people's choice. Judging will be double-blind judging and we are looking forward to a great first annual event. For information please call 720-259-2390 or go to www.hfcdenver.org. Where: 3651 S. Colorado Blvd. at Hampden Ave. and Colorado Blvd. When: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Event Dates: This event takes place on 11/17/2007.
