A reader sent the following link and information to me about a website that was developed by John Walsh of television's America's Most Wanted.

When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your home as the small icon of a house with possible red, blue,and green squares surrounding your neighborhood. A legend is on the left side of the screen to explain the colors of the squares.

When you click on these squares, a picture of a person will appear with an address and the description of the crime he or she had committed. You will also want to click "convictions" on the bar across the top of the page. Most of the convictions listed are for sex crimes, especially against children.

Hopefully, there are no bad guys in your area, but, in case there are, this site will let you know who and where they are in relation to your home.

Every day we read about crimes committed against individuals and families. This site can help protect you and your family against such actions.
