Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

He's been drawing for years, now. At first his drawings looked like squiggles. Then, out of the many squiggles, alphabet letters started to appear.
There was always a big, plastic bin of markers around, and plenty of blank paper. He and his sister are both adept at drawing, but he does it more. When sitting at the computer, he'll also be drawing characters.
If you want to know what to buy him, best make it retractible Sharpies. Fine point. Multi packs. I sneak glances at him. His hand movements are now practiced and smooth. His face goes into a little wincing expression as he imagines the feelings of his characters. Or, a line isn't turning out the way he wants.
He takes index cards and draws one character in sequence, changing the face to show the sound of the word the character is saying.
He's a quiet person, but there's something formidable about the things he thinks about and draws. If you ask him a question about what he's drawing, he gives a slight and noncommital answer.
He would want you to know that he's funny and knows a lot of jokes, poems and skits. What he wouldn't want broadcasted on this blog, won't get talked about.
