Blog Entry 30 of 38 Different Rhymes for Different Times
Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

What do we do, where are we supposed to turn
With nobody here to teach us how are we supposed to learn
You don't love mom anymore, hey, that happens now and then
But don't leave us alone, on our own, guessing how to be men...

There's a man at the bar
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
He's stumbling towards his car
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
And all the other men are
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
I don't think he'll get far
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"

Who's that girl he's inviting
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Is that a cigarette he's lighting?
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
It looks pretty exciting
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Now the two of them are fighting
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"

At first I thought they kissed
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Then he grabbed her by the wrist
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
She tried to slap him, but she missed
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Then he punched her with his fist
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"

But she's so small and frail
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
And I hear the sirens wail
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Now he's going off to jail
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
So he calls his wife for bail
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"

He walked out on her and his son
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
So he could go and have fun
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
When he hit that girl he had a gun
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
While already on the run
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"

He faces the same judge again
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
And right there and right then
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
The judge gives him eight-to-ten
"Guess that's what we're supposed to do"
Because we don't know how to be men
"Show us what we're supposed to do"
