Blog Entry 34 of 38 Different Rhymes for Different Times

Pretty much just some street-type rhymin' goin' on here. Some rhymes might have proper grammar, but most of 'em probably won't. Nothin' fancy. Kinda just however I'm feelin' at any given time. Sometimes there'll be an explanation for the rhyme, sometimes there won't be. Not a whole lot of words endin' in the letter "g". Hopefully nobody ever gets offended by anything I write. That is definitely not my intention. Just kinda writin' out my feelings in rhyme, that's all.

Is it sadness, madness, distorted euphoria
Laziness, craziness, phantasmagoria
I'm reeling from this feeling, it's taking me higher
and when it heals, it reveals a deep, dark desire
Convict, addict, can't kick the routine
stayed away for a day then I was back in the scene
The shaking, the aching, couldn't take it anymore
I stumbled and tumbled as I fell through the door
In the forefront of the storefront wanting one more piece
A blank stare, in the chair, awaiting my release
The man walks in and begins to pull a gun
and the sound of five rounds explodes like the sun
I mumble "No, gimme Jymi" I beg and I plead
And Zez says "Jymi's gone, but I got what you need"
The needle, tiny needle, lovely needle goes in
It penetrates, irritates, desecrates my skin
The burn returns and I remember what I missed
The temptation, sensation, realization I exist
The pain leaves a bloodstain that insanely makes me smile
Then another from my brother, and it's all worthwhile
I grit my teeth underneath my slow, controlled breath
Inhale, exhale, I see the mark of death
then a line that shows a sign leading to eternity
Destruction, redemption, only God can judge me
Am I hallucinating, waiting for the needle to take hold
or is each dark mark a story waiting to be told
Stories of my glory days, and my darkest nights
Stories of my strongest wrongs and stories of my rights
Detailed tales of where I've been, and where I hope to go
I stand up proud, I stand up loud and let my scarred arms show
These needle marks spark remarks and questions every day
Each one represents certain events and they'll never go away
I'm not a smoker, I'm not a toker, I don't even hit the booze
and I'm far too phunky to be a street junkie, but I do fiend for tattoos
