Blog Entry 95 of 145 Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

I have found elixir of the gods!

Seventies music again. You may think I've exaggerated the sentiment in the title, but I think not.

NO, this time it's not one of the usual top-40 seventies songs you're still sick of. This issomething I never heard of, just discovered on a website I frequent, and someone linked to this:

It's Jethro Tull: Reason for Waiting. Super acoustic guitar, sensitive, masterfulperformance on the flute, the rich Hammond organ sound, a moving and beautifully written song, and oh it's nice.

I've always loved them but only heard their greatest hits, which are great of course but this song? I am in awe of the way this song strikes me right at the heart. In a way I'm glad I never heard this before now. It's magic.

The internet can give you the biggest misunderstanding of your life. But you can also be shown some things of this world that you couldn't see before.

Now I've got to go get this in my ipod. I'll listen to it while I'm on my dog walks and the world will look like a pretty movie for awhile.
