Blog Entry 146 of 182 Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

Notes to Self. Dogs. Rocks.

Lisa.

These posts on the mortgage bailout? Give it a rest. Not only do you not quite know much about it at all, you're adding to the mass of ignorance that is blooming with the help of the internet. Your blog is the dirt, not the earthworm. Give it a break. It gets boring. After you finish publishing this stuff, do you feel good about it, or do you wonder why the hell you did it? Huh? Pay attention to that uncomfortable feeling that you're not doing a good thing.

Why do you blog?

I blog because sometimes I reach people. I sometimes reaffirm things that are good in life, in my life and in others.

Why don't you do that right now. Name three good things. Go.

1. My relationship with my husband is getting better. He has not gotten involved in my emotional troubles and as I grow tired of that internal struggle, he is like a havenfrom that pain.

2. My husband does not travel four days a week anymore like he did for a year and a half and irregularly before that. He is home for our kids, for us, for the good of everyone. He gets to work with a small and growing company in Fort Collins. We are so very lucky with this.

3. This is a point where my old job has ended andI still have energy, vitality and creativity to try something new. AndI have a lot of time to go after it. That's great.

4. I'm painting both rocks and dogs.

5. I'm out of that depressed period.

6. I got some cool, loose fabric from the fabric store and I'm going to make a big, scary hag for my front yard. It's going to look awesome. And Rich put an electrical outlet under the porch eaves. No more extension cords all over the place.

Thanks be.
