Blog Entry 138 of 182 Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

A Painting of Mine
Contributed by: Lisa Arata   on 9/30/2008

Ah! I stepped out of my art closet and had coffee with my friend. Very nice. We were looking at our kids' senior pictures. Funny, but when we met our kids were just little tykes. Now they're becoming who they are going to be as adults.

I had a lot of time yesterday and so I painted some of one of my dog portraits. I'll include a picture.

I think about this big bailout on the radio and TV. That's all it is to me, sorry to say. I think there are plenty of other industries and things going on and the fear and loathing in the capitol and on Wall Street are a lot of drama. But I only have a limited view just like any human and I can be wrong. They say bad things are going to happen every day. Well, maybe they've been artificially kept nice for so long, the truth must come out. Somebody's gotta get smoked. I hope it's the one that created the problem and not the victims, and I hope they don't make us all a victim of some people's bad choices!

I feel happy today because the things that mean the most to me are happening well. :-) and my people are carrying on.
