Blog Entry 148 of 182 Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

Painting the dog
Contributed by: Lisa Arata   on 10/9/2008

No, I have not been applying paint to my dog. I just thought that sounded funny. Anyway, if I put paint on my dog, then not only would there be the shed hair, there would be oil paint pawprints, shed sticky painty hair, and corgi-shaped silhouettes on the floor, and besides the odor of the usual corgi fart gas, we'd be inhaling oil paint and the oil thinner and the turpenoid.

This is my third dog painting and I'd like to do a cat now. So I have to go hunt through my photos and get one of India, the black cat we had when we got married. He had quite the cat personality. Most of the time, it was "Stay away, minion." Other times, "You my buddy. Pet me." and always, it was, "Food!"

Okay, so now I'm posting the latest on Dog 3. And just so you know, I hate paint. Paint is dumb, stupid stuff that makes me frustrated.
