Did Your Dad Kill Anyone in Vietnam?
Contributed by: Alexandra Friedman   on 10/28/2007

"Hey, when your dad was in Vietnam did he kill anyone?"

"Alex, I can't believe you just asked me if my dad killed anyone in Vietnam"

"Why? I just thought, since your dad is so nice, 'Mr. nothing seems to make me mad dad' that it would be odd if he did kill someone in Vietnam because I can't imagine him killing someone.'"

"Alex, I am not going to tell you if my dad killed anybody in Vietnam."

"So he killed more than one person!? "

"Alex! You don't ask these questions, you don't ask if somebody killed somebody... Especially in Vietnam, especially my dad!"

"I didn't ask your dad, I am asking you. I wont tell him you told me and I wont look at him any differently if you just tell me yes or no."

"Alex, I am not talking about this."

"So he did kill somebody?"

"Alex, you don't ask someone if they killed someone in Vietnam."

Silence...

"Ok, whatever."

Silence...

"Has he ever brought it up with you, like flashbacks of the gun going off?"
