One man's bike commute
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 5/8/2007

If there's ever a time to strap the company's $500 video camera to the top of your helmet with 15 cents worth of duct tape and ride your bike through downtown Denver, I figured May, the month of the Drive Less Denver challenge, was it.

I followed my buddy Nick on his commute from the Congress Park neighborhood to his job at Colorado Ski Country USA downtown at 15th and Blake streets. It was my first time shooting video and first time wearing a helmet cam, so please forgive the glitches. Thanks to Sean Cronin, we were actually able to make this somewhat presentable. That makes my easy little commute down 16th look easy. I get to stop at Broadway, so I don't have to deal with downtown traffic.

Yeah, looks like you two were drifting away from those designated bike lanes ...

That was a fun trip but scary. Please tell Nick to be careful, and you too!
