HubCap: Politics Wednesday
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 7/19/2006

Well, I'm back from my vacation (?) and have found many good political postings for this week. I've even organized them by topic for you:

Illegal immigration
Brian Petrelli, of Highlands Ranch, offers a humorous take on the bunnies that have been immigrating into his yard and taking jobs from his family. I am not kidding.

World leaders aren't
James Syring, of Denver, says we need to take a long, hard look at what's been going on for the past 16 yearsand figure out how to deal with it soon.

Kim Jong Il has nuclear weapons -- is that scary or what?
Larry Collette, of Centennial, says we need to figure out what's going on with the nuclear situation in North Korea, and the sooner, the better.

Lebanon vs. Israel
Tim Miller, of Aurora, doesn't want our troops in another war.

All politics is local
Paul Tiger
, of Longmont, weighs in on the Boulder County clerk race.

Will Parker annex Franktown? Here's Francis Miller's take.

The war in Iraq
Leonard Muniz, of Broomfield, says not enough is being said about the soldiers dying in an "unnecessary war" in Iraq.

Gas prices don't seem to be going down
Mike Bates, of Castle Rock, argues that we should lower the speed limits on highways to conserve gas.

Separation of church and state
The Aurora City Council wants pastors to offer prayers at the beginning of their meetings, but to not mention a specific deity. Delmar Knudson,of Denver, is not excited about that idea.
