HubCap: Stop being polite, start getting real
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 11/29/2006

My girlfriend and I were in line at the Capitol Hill Wild Oats store a few months ago when a guy came in the front door with a cameraman a sound person, and one other person in tow.

Emily asked, "Do you think that's one of the Real World cast members?"

I said something to the effect of probably, then asked if she remembered to get bananas.

Then we paid for our stuff and left. That was our Real World moment. It was pretty real.

I was out of town last week when The Real World Denver premiered, and I didn't get to see it. Thankfully, Marcelo Duran, a guy from Denver, has stepped up to analyze the show at YourHub.com.

Check out his story, " The Real World lands in cow town Denver," and offer your take on the whole thing. [Here's his review of episode 3, which aired Nov. 29] And next time the show comes on, hey, you can skip it if you want, because Marcelo will recap it for you. You won't miss a single makeout session, drunken fight, or clash of beliefs.

If you want to start your own column on The Real World, hey, it's fair game. Click here to post a story.

I used to love the Real World. Until about five seasons in. Now I have nothing but basic cable, so Marcelo's blog is my only connection to the show. Thanks, Marcelo!

Sad but true: While Brendan was typing up this blog entry, I was able to recite the whole "Real World" introduction to him. "This is the true story ... of seven strangers ...

How completely real. Seven total strangers often room together in what on the open market would probably be a million dollar house.
