HubCap: Time for the old pre-divorce garage sale
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 3/30/2007

Note: Starting today, this blog is going to look like this. I think it's going to be a lot more interesting and worth your time than the previous format. Feel free to let me know your thoughts, good or bad, in the comments section.

No sense beating around the bush:
From our classifieds: When a regular rummage sale just won't do, hey, why not give it a theme? This is the first "Pre-divorce garage sale" I've ever seen, and it's in Thornton this Saturday. I guess it beats sawing the entertainment center in half just to spite your soon-to-be-ex.

A touching story from Sarge:
Leonard "Sarge" Avery isn't a big fan of his wife, Lt. Linda, working in a run-down, dangerous Denver neighborhood in a HIV/AIDS hospice. The fact that all the patients in the hospice were gay made him a little uncomfortable, too, until he met the patients. Here's the story he wrote about a man named David.

What they use to pull over the Grave Digger on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday:

When I was a kid, we didn't have no "bottled water":
John Brandstetter and I were talking the other day about high school kids whining about not being able to use their cellphones, in class, to text message their friends. I felt old when I realized that when I was in high school, cellphones were roughly the size of a 2-liter Coke bottle. Of course, the more our society "advances," the softer we all get, right? New YourHub.com user Mike Giorgi, of Lone Tree, tackles this in his column, "The woosifying of America's youth."

Who wants to see baby photos?
YourHub.com Community Journalist Steve Shultz and his wife, Melinda, welcomed Prahlad Das Shultz into the world on March 14, after Melinda went through 20 hours of labor. Sixteen days later, Steve was finally able to post some photos on YourHub.com. And he's usually so good with deadlines ...

Do you have to have a format? I hope you still include some of Eric Lubbers' graphics when a story pic isn't available. (It is hard to beat Bill's partially clothed self-portraits, though.)
