Charmaine in the city
I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. Dogs are like kids, only hairier.
For those sans children, the Highlands Ranch Community Association decided to put a new twist on "Bring Your Child to Work Day" and encouraged their employees to bring their dogs. Just as cute and slightly less noisy. (

Art at its coolest.
Remember Lincoln Logs? Those chunky logs you can build stuff with back in preschool? I used to make crazy cabins with them when I was younger. Well, this local artist decided to build a structure of biblical proportions by creating the Tower of Babel out of these little guys. And it is an actual tower. Wow. (

Wendy Brache
reviews the Heaven and Hell Tour held in Broomfield on April 29. Aside from blowing her ears out and feeling a little out of place, Wendy said she's gained a new appreciation for metal. Just don't get sucked into those concert mosh pits, you'll never be found again. (
