Charmaine in the city
I've called the Denver area home for more than two
decades now. But this urban/mountain city is still full of surprises. I'll be posting my adventures here, as I explore local eateries, shops and sharing birthday and vacation photos. Cars to get your (freak) vroom on.
The "Ectomobile" in
Ghostbusters
was a 1959 Cadillac hearse/ambulance that was given an overhaul to fight supernatural crime. The Hearse-Con 2007 annual convention featured hearses and old-time ambulances that locals revamped to be works of vehicular art. Our own
John Zwick
gets the low-down on the chrome and coffin during this event held at That Scary Place May 11 to 13. (

was recently named an "All Around Commuter of the Year" by GO Boulder. Here's a twist though: Amy works from home. So actually, she doesn't even have to bike, walk or take the bus to the office, probably only has to take two steps to her desk at home. Now that's the ultimate commute. (
