Blog Entry 121 of 182 Bad Mom
I call myself Bad Mom because at the time I came up with it, I was learning about the assumptions we put behind our words. I was following the pattern of not believing that my kids are okay, and speaking to them from that basis. I changed that, and it made a big difference. I am from Utah and my people are still living there. My husband was in the Air Force and we rattled around until we saw Colorado, and we stuck.

Auntie Lisa's Baby Name Catalog
Contributed by: Lisa Arata   on 8/30/2008

I'm still in a good mood! Read the Rocky Mountain News all about McCain and Palin. Different sort of coverage than that given to Obama.Haven't really summarized it yet. I feel strangely like I know the two of them already. I suppose that's the kind of reaction they're hoping for. Anyway, I'd like to give a good critical look at the policies of both of them, and I'd like to do it with my own brains and not the borrowed brains of radio and newspaper people. We'll just see about that.

Auntie Lisa's Baby Naming Catalog

My baby brother's expecting his third child, a boy finally, in September. Last time I spoke with them a couple of weeks ago, they still hadn't decided on a name. He wanted a cool name that would go over well with his Guard buddies. BUT, I trust his wife more to come up with a good name, as she has done so far with the other children.

I've decided to make a catalog of baby names according to my own system of categorization. Bear with me, as I am not always known for good thinking.

Sarah Palin's children's names are Bristol, Piper, Track, Willow and Trig. Some are based on places, some on sports activities, some on occupations, some on pretty trees and some on mathematical operations. Thus I proceed.

I have a nephew named Kjaerand, Kjaer for short. Danish. The Palin's kids do have unique names. Could it be partly due to her half-Eskimo hubby?
