Politics to life in general, a view from a slightly right of center/off-kilter guy.

Time Magazine's Person of the Year
Contributed by: Brian Olson   on 12/23/2007

Time Magazinemade a great choice for its Person of the Year in "Vlad" Putin. For those of you who think that getting on the cover for the traditional issue is for good deeds, it's not.

Putin is Russia's "Dicatator-Elect" and one look at those cold and lifeless eyes and you see pure evil.

It's no surprise. Putin is ex-KGB and longs for the good old days when the Russian Bear was a force to be reckoned with. Putin has arranged the murders of several journalists and political foes.

He feigns innocence but is anything but. Screw due process.

Regardless of your political affiliation, look at Putin's mug on the cover of Time, then think long and hard about which candidate is best suited to sit across the table from this man.

He/She will have to be tough as steel, look Putin in the eye and hold firm.

Already Russian bombers are once again "testing" our defenses off Alaska. It's little known, but it's Canadian Air Force fighters that are answering the call.

Our F-15's are grounded.

There is much work to do moving forward when dealing with the rest of the world.

Again, before you vote, think of that Time cover. This picture is worth a thousand nightmares.
