Baseball,football,the Grateful Dead,Jesus and me
Could be politics, religion, music, sports, family life or anything in-between and outside the lines. (I refuse to say "outside the box," even if my chosen line means exactly the same thing) Chronologically, I'm 40. The consensus among those who know me best puts me somewhere between 10 and 13 in terms of maturity. I love listening to Jimmy Buffett, the Grateful Dead, the Allman Brothers and all acts Country (except the Dixie Chicks who offended my long-held,closed-minded view of decent behavior) I have deep, strong beliefs in all things I believe in and sometimes in things I don't. I pride myself in my contradictory nature even though it is a sign of weakness to change one's mind. I have been known to waver more than John Kerry talking about national defense, though I remain steadfast in my beliefs. I am prepared to argue to the death on one issue and one issue alone; Dickey Betts should be allowed back in the Allman Brothers. On this, there is no compromise. I believe in compromise in all other areas so long as the compromise includes everything that I want or believe in. In all seriousness, I am a lucky man, blessed with a wonderful family and an uncanny ability to not care about anything if the situation requires such. I believe that minds are like parachutes in that they have been known to fail their user, albeit with a slightly lower fatality rate. So that's me, or at least that's kind of me. I mean, I felt that way right before I didn't.

Out with the old, in with the new! It's time to offer simple solutions to complex problems.
Problem : Gangs in Denver.
Solution: 12 Guys with sniper rifles.
Problem : Drunk drivers.
Solution: Peanut Butter and Pit Bulls
Problem : Northwest Parkway
Solution: Hovercraft for everyone
Problem:Hollywood Writers' Strike
Solution: Problem? What Problem?
Problem: Illegal Aliens
Solution: Xeriscape!
Problem: Internet Porn
Solution: Better Search Engines
Problem: New England Patriots
Solution: Indianapolis Colts!
Problem: Michael Moore
Solution: Truth
Problem: Rosie O'Donnel
Solution: Peanut Butter and Pit Bulls
Problem: Ice Packed Metro Roads
Solution: Global Warming -- or is that a problem? Al? Al?
Problem: Global Warming
Solution: Movies and other money-making ventures by insincere Hollywood
hypocrites
Problem: Steriods in baseball
Solution: Peanut Butter and Pit Bulls
Problem: Gay Marriage
Solution: Ladies -- Video! Men -- whatever
Problem: Loud jerks at the movies
Solution: Peanut butter and pit bulls
As you can see, most problems facing America today can be taken care of with peanut butter and pit bulls.
Where that fails - truth, justice and the American way will win out. Mike Moore and Rosie should be punched and the gang-bangers should be shot. Al Gore, meanwhile, should just be laughed at.
Simple solutions to complex problems.

I like the list, but the peanut butter leaves a bit too much to chance. Can't we just dress up our subject like FiFi the poodle before handing them over to the pit bulls?

Ouch! I like the peanut butter and pit bulls angle but have to admit I don't mind Rosie O'Donnell and believe Michael Moore and Al Gore about most issues including global warming. Even if they exhibit hypocrisy from time to time. Here's to another glorious year in the good ol' US of A Bill!

The revered scientist Al Gore should be forced to give his Nobel Peace Prize back.
