Blog Entry 2 of 2 Reflections on Nothing in Particular
By day I'm a mild-mannered blogger, husband, dad, and doofus. By night, I become... the same, just doofier.

Guy who outed Haggard is at rock bottom himself
Contributed by: Beast O'Bourbon   on 8/29/2007

Westword's Adam Cayton-Holland, in the course of writing up a lengthy piece on the Denver trivia scene (which I am involved in), let it be known that Mike Jones, the man who outed megachurch leader Ted Haggard last fall, has been relegated to hosting a sex trivia game at a local pub.

"Mike Jones and the Jäger girls are getting along famously," writes Cayton-Holland. "The two scantily clad swag-peddlers get up periodically to make the rounds at the Irish Rover, with red, flashing medallions illuminating their hips as they offer free Jägermeister T-shirts, hats and beads to the bar's customers - but then they return to the corner of the bar and continue gabbing" with Jones. Read the rest of the article here.

Jones hasn't hidden the fact that he's struggled financially since his bombshell revelation and this latest appearance isn't likely going to pad his bank account much. But a guy's gotta eat, even if it's just a basket of pub fries.

And props to Al Warner, who runs Trivia Face-Off, which I've been playing for years at Caldonia's and Gibby's... and have written for as well. He's featured prominently in the piece (even called "the godfather of Denver trivia"), as he should be.
