March Madness brackets YourHub.com style

MARCH MADNESS!!!!!!!!

OK, now that I've got that bit of branding out of the way, it's time to get down to business.

I've set up a YourHub.com NCAA pool on Yahoo! and I want you, yes you, the one sitting at his/her office or home, to get in on this sweet brackety action.

Just click here and use your Yahoo! log in (everyone's got one, right?) and select and save your bracket. Take your time, you've got until March 15 to finalize your picks.

In case you're curious, I've already made my picks. My Final Four? I played it safe for three out of four: Kansas, Wisconsin, Texas. My if-they-make-it-I'll-be-a-genius-if-not-I'll-look-stupid pick? Nevada. You read that right: Nevada. Now why the hell would I do that? Because, when I used to work for the Arvada YourHub.com editorial team, I'd get several news alerts a day about how great this kid Nick Fazekas (a Ralston Valley alum) was and he turned down a pretty high rank in last year's NBA draft to come back to college. The Wolf Pack would have to beat Ohio State in the regional finals to get there, but it'd be a great story to tell if it came true.

One more time, here's how to join the pool:

2. Click "Join a Group" (you'll have to sign into Yahoo! if you aren't already)
3. Click "Join a private group"
4. Enter 60785 as the group number and " travishenry" as the password
5. Pick your bracket and go!

This is completely and absolutely free, and there is supposedly a chance of someone in the country winning a million dollars by participating. So by setting this bracket up, I think I'm entitled to having my student loans paid off if someone in this tournament wins. But I won't hold you to it.

I'll write up a semi-regular summary of the standings all the way through the finals and maybe even make a trophy for the winner, pending supplies and motivation.
