YourHub.com journalist picks perfect Final Four
Contributed by: Eric J. Lubbers/YourHub.com   on 3/27/2007

All hail John Eisel. The Lord of all things Adams County was the only person in the YourHub.com March Madness Bracket Pool to correctly predict all four teams of the Final Four.

The move all but assures that he will trounce the competition, notably me. My pick of Kansas, Wisconsin, Nevada and Texas in the dance looks more stupid and unnecessariy risky than it does devil-may-care rebellious. I was trying to be the James Dean of NCAA bracket picking. A lofty goal, I know, but a noble one.

I can take small comfort in knowing that no money exchanged hands for this pool, a fact I'm sure Eisel laments.

Well, with basketball all but over for the year, I can focus on my true passion: fantasy World Cup cricket! Considering my luck with basketball, I'd say I have about the same odds in my new venture.

As for next year's tournament: It's the Southern Illinois University Salukis all the way, baby.
