The discussion around YourHub.com World Headquarters is philisophical in nature.
Does the fact that the page informing you that the Rockies ticket server load is too heavy is loading faster today than yesterday mean that the front office's efforts are failing faster or slower?
Most (if not all, I haven't heard of anyone actually getting through yet) potential ticket-buyers are saying the entire ticket-buying experience has been almost entirely the same today, except for that tiny difference.
In the meantime,
e-mail your ticket buying experiences, successful or otherwise, to
lubberse@YourHub.com and I'll keep a running log of how things are shaking down in the sequel.
World Series Snafu II: Electric Boogaloo. Coming to a computer screen near you.

Update #1:
We've got one !
Reader
Mimi Milania Main sent me this e-mail at 1:20 p.m.:
"my coworker as 5 of us on computers for him, and family trying for tickets. He finally got into Saturday's game, and was able to purchase 4 tickets at the $250 level (despite fears the page had timed out & crashed). Confirmation printed!
And then something eerie... he got in on the same computer for Sunday (4 tickets again), and now he's in for Monday (2 tickets). It makes no sense to me that one computer out of 7 would be repeatedly successful.
My coworker, Matt, is super excited to see Boston
play.
Update: He's having Monday difficulties!
Yikes this is stressful

Update #2: Sell Out
OK, I've gotten a ton of response in the last hour or so, and looking at the site myself, it looks like as of 2:32 p.m. today, games 3 and 4 are sold out.
-----------------
Many people, like
Fawntel Romero, were able to access the interface, order the tickets and just before she paid, the server crashed:
"Twice I have been able to put tickets in my shopping cart. When I went to check out, I got booted."
-----------------
One reader,
Lisa Murphy, even got some screenshots of her almost-purchase, right before the entire site died on her. (
click here to see the screenshot)
" How disappointing. See attached screen shot. I was to the checkout page with my tickets, clicked "Checkout" button andit tried to load/open the next page until finally it led me to a timed out error page - order lost and tried the back button and nothing worked. Itried to reload only to be taken back to the hold, 120 secondsrefresh page - oh, how disappointing it was!"
-----------------
Matt Lafargue, who's rockin' an NYU e-mail address, is getting downright angry (and who would blame him) after landing some money seats, only to get the boot by the Paciolan (the company who owns evenue.net) servers. Here's his e-mail, titeld "Ready to kill Paciolan":
"I got through very early in the process and was able to reserve 4 great tickets behind third base for Game 3. Or so I thought. I clicked on check out, and never got any further. I eventually received an endless series of messages that the connection had timed out. I never got through again. I'm mad as hell and I want somebody at Paciolan to pay for it."
-----------------
Sherri Bauers is confirming the strange occurence that Mimi referred to earlier of one computer being able to get tickets more than once while others fail miserably:
"
We've probably got 10 people here at work all trying, and only one person has been able to get tickets, and just like at Mimi's office, she's been able to buyfor two gamesand is working on her third set of tickets!"
