And Fantasy Football for all...
Contributed by: Travis Henry/YourHub.com   on 8/8/2006

This will be my 13th year playing Fantasy Football.

When I first started playing there were no online leagues - at least none that we knew of. Using the newspaper, we scored our players by hand and disputes were settled by our commissioner and the box scores in his paper.

Back then, Fantasy Football participants were diehard football fans who loved stats and annoying their wives.

Today, thanks to the Internet, Fantasy Football is a lot more user friendly. Computer programs keep score and chat capabilities allow smack talking real time. The wives have also joined in, many times proving victorious over their husbands while proving it doesn't take 40 hours a week to work on a lineup.

I'm still a member of my original 'serious' league, but every year I like to participate in a just-for-fun league with neophytes and co-workers. Some say I do it just so I can win a few games here and there.

I say that's not true.To achieve that goal, I just invite Brian Clark to play.

Anyway,I have set up a Yahoo! league for YourHub.com employees, users and friends to join. It's absolutely free.

The winner of the league will be honored with bragging rights and a cheesy traveling trophy Brendan Leonard and I are working on.

The league is limited to 20 teams, so sign up now. I'm talking to you Bill Boucher ,Stephanie Blakeand everyone on Brendan's List.

I'm guaranteeing all of you some wins. Clarkie is already registered.

To participate you have to get a Yahoo user ID (everyone has one don't they?), go to the Yahoo! Fantasy Sports page click on Sign Up Now! and then click on Join a League under Football '06, (NOT Football PLUS '06 - that costs money).

The ID# for our league is 377884
The Password is dotthedog

Good luck!

The Boxing Ghandi's will be smacking you down like dogs. And if your karma dictates, like Red Wings fans in your next reincarntation. That would be a step down, by the way.
