As Denver's premier contemporary Photography gallery, we are very excited to bring you Michael Ensminger's latest work, Zottelbart. This collection is a series of black and white self-portraits shot over the last six years in the high country forests of Colorado. Adding intrigue to these beautiful photographs is that the whole lot were captured on medium format black and white film and printed in a darkroom with no image manipulation. They convey the arc of mankind's existence through references to history, art history and archetypal creations. In addition to exploring the psychological and spiritual nature of man, it ponders his relationship to his environment as both steward and exploiter.
