Description:

Experienced Denver attorney Shelley Thompson will present the workshop "Can I Sell My Business, Someday? If So, How Can I Get As Much As Possible?" from 8 to 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 13 at the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce offices at 1624 Market St., Suite 340, in Denver, CO.

The workshop is $15 for members, $20 for non-members and walk-ins, and $10 for young professionals. A light breakfast will be provided. Attendees can register online at www.cwcc.org.

Thompson will talk candidly about how a business owner can position a business for future sale. The discussion will include:

•Is the business saleable?
•Who are the potential buyers?
•What factors go into a business valuation, and how to drive up the value of a business now?
•Issues to consider when selling a business to employees or family members.
•How to minimize tax consequences.
•How to protect the value of a business after death or disability.
