Our speaker for November will be Mr. Ray Gifford, who served as Chairman of the Colorado Public Utilities Commission from 1999-2003 and currently practices law at Kamlet Reichert. His expertise lies in public utilities law, principally telecommunications and energy. As an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Colorado Law School, Mr. Gifford has taught courses on the law and economics of utility regulation to law students, and federal and state officials. He has written widely on issues of communications and utility law, including electric competition, renewable energy and smart grid.
This month features an informal question and answer session a la "Inside the Actor's Studio", with WISE president Susan Greene moderating and former PUC Chairman Ray Gifford.
They will be discussing a
regulator's view of the new energy economy and what is in store for Colorado from the regulatory, business and consumer perspective.
After that, we'll open up the question and answer session to members of the audience.
