Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies will unveil its new accessibility ramp and improvements on May 18 at a ribbon cutting ceremony. Funding for the project was provided in part by the State Historical Society. Referred to as "The Grand Old Lady at Tenth and Clarkson" in news reports of the time and built in 1907, the building was designed by acclaimed Denver architect Robert Roeschlaub. MCCR provides worship, ministries and socially conscious programs for a diverse population of many faiths and cultural backgrounds living in greater Capitol Hill. Members of the community are invited to share in the celebration, which will include free tours of this historic gem. Lunch on the lawn will be available at a nominal cost.
