Free Pub Talk on Welsh Tales of Love, Loss, and Magic
The Colorado Welsh Society presents a free talk on the Celtic roots of "The Mabinogi" and "The Tale of Taliesin" on Saturday, May 17, at 4 pm at O'Shea's Irish Tavern & Grill, 5117 S Yosemite St., Greenwood Village, Colorado.
These two stories are fascinating epic tales from early Welsh tradition. The talk, by Celtic scholar
Larry Eson, Ph.D., will include how the authors of these stories fashioned sophisticated, poignant, and highly entertaining narratives from their native folklore sources and how these timeless tales of love, loss and magic continue to find relevance for a modern audience.
Social time will follow the 4:00 pm talk. Drinks and dinner can be ordered, no reservations needed. All are welcome. For information contact
Sam Kuntz at 303.953.9938, or sam.kuntz@comcast.net
