Description:
Humanism includes a long tradition of atheism, but in recent years several groups focused simply on atheism have sprouted up in Colorado, some of them making us seem downright old-fashioned. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) In November we will hear from the leaders of some of these groups.
Joel Guttormson will represent the Metro State Atheists, whose website can be found at
http://metrostateatheists.wordpress.com.
Jeanette Norman will hold forth for the Denver Atheists and Freethinkers (D.A.F.T.), who can be found on Meetup.com. D.A.F.T. is primarily a social group, but has also been involved in local activism.
The Denver Atheists, one of Denver's oldest and largest atheist groups, will be represented by its newest organizer, "Ferris". The Denver Atheists can also be found on Meetup.com.
We are currently working on enticing one or two other local groups to show up.
