Qualifying events
Steve's Snappin' Dogs' hot dog eating contest will be comprised of up to four qualifying events of 3 minutes each with the first and second place winners at each event moving on to the finals to be contested on Sunday, July 27. Steve's Snappin' Dogs will open these qualifying events to the public on a first-come-first-serve basis limiting each qualifier to a maximum of 10 participants each paying a moderate fee of $25 to be provided as a donation to the charitable partner and cover expenses. These events will be hosted in the weeks prior to the finals. First and second place contestants will qualify for the finals and receive special mention in local media.
All contestants will receive a T-shirt and the first and second at each qualifer will receive an Elite Ate T-Shirt.
Final event overview
Steve's Snappin' Dogs' Hotdog Eating Contest will conclude with a final eat-off featuring the winners of the qualifying events Ideally, a total of eight contestants would compete for the inaugural contest with the winner receiving a $300 gift card, a trophy, special mention in the media, and crowned the "Big Weiner" of what will soon prove to be the first of many Steve's Snappin' Dogs' hotdog eating contests. Second place receives a $100 gift certificate and third place a $50 one.
