SPARCAS is designed to help women, especially single mothers through various types of support. Slumber Parties Actively Restoring Character and Spirit (SPARCAS) are based in Baton Rouge, La., but have nationwide volunteers and projects.
in 2006 SPARCAS was set into motion. A website was created to gather donations and educate distributors and the public about our efforts.
www.SPARCAS.com also allows women from anywhere to apply for assistance.
The organization accepts requests from struggling women for help in any area of their lives. Once an application is reviewed, SPARCAS volunteers determine the best way to proceed. A project is then designed that will assist the applicant in getting back on her feet. Projects can range from home improvements to job placement assistance and can include any other type of aid deemed necessary. Some projects will take only a short time; however, SPARCAS will dedicate itself to working with a family for up to a year if necessary.
