Many may look at a pen as just a writing instrument but artist Gary Blehm looks at it as a piece of art. Thirty years ago when Gary was just twelve years old, the idea of Penman came to be when he created a flip page style animation in his English book.

The PENMEN character has become an international favorite among many. From a nationally syndicated comic strip to a six episode animated series for a European Children's Network and currently can be seen in Pen World.

Gary Blehm will be making a special appearance at the Paradise Pen store at the Cherry Creek Mall on Saturday, June 7 th from 1 - 5 pm. He will be drawing free PENMEN characters for guests that come into the store that day. As well he will have Penmen posters available for sale which make a perfect gift for Father's Day. Thirty five copies of Pen World autographed by Gary Blehm will be given out as well.
