The Denver Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. invites you to attend A Soulful Sunday Jazz Brunch in celebration of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority's Founders Day. This event will feature performances by two well-known local musical artists: Grammy Award winning jazz saxophonist Gerald Albright, and pulsating vocalist Mary Louise Lee and her dynamic jazz band.

The event will be held on Sunday, March 28, 1 p.m. at the Renaissance Hotel, 3801 Quebec St., Denver, Colorado. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization's Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.

A sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women, the Sorority currently has over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Republic of Korea.

The occasion commemorates the Sorority's founding in 1913 by twenty-two students at HowardUniversity. These young women organized to use their collective strength to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved;educate and stimulate participation in the establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in their communities.
