By: Frances E. Jefferson, Regional Administrator, U.S. Department of Labor, Women's Bureau

The Women's Bureau, U.S Department of Labor invites you to A Women's Conference - May 16, 2008 at the Seawell Ballroom, Performing Arts center from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Conference cost is $40.00. The cost includes a continental breakfast, lunch and an opportunity to here words of inspiration that will address the conference theme, "A Bucket of Hope - A Life Changing Experience".

The Bureau met with a team of women to brainstorm over the issues that can cause women to have a 'Life Changing Experience'. The dialogue focused on the movie "Bucket List" starring Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson, playing the roles of two men who because of age and illness found themselves making a list of everything they wanted to do in life, but did not have the opportunity to pursue with time running out. As a result, the team concluded that Women have a bucket list and they need to take time to Recharge. Refocus, Refresh, Renew and Restore so they may be able to Rejoice! Thus, the Conference theme recognizes Women need to fill their bucket with better tools, for finances, personal health; clutter in their lives and dreams of travel.

The opening keynote speaker, Dr. Gloria Boseman PhD, a professor at the New Jersey City University, New Jersey and the president of the Hannah Group consulting firm will focus on letting women know how they can Recharge, Refocus, Refresh, Renew, Restore and Rejoice!

Terri Lynn Mabbitt an entrepreneur, who runs her own business called Chaos 2 Calm, will address how to Refocus on the physical and mental clutter in life.

Lunch catered by Epicurean will not only be enjoyed, but you will have an opportunity to exercise the muscles used with laughter during the Keynote Lunch Comedian. Karyn Ruth White, brings her skills of entertaining and motivating business/corporate audiences for over 15 years to the lunch table. Karyn will use humor to grab the attention of the attendees and help them Renew themselves by receiving practical, real-life tools for productivity.

The afternoon workshop presenters; Carol Mills, an author, educator and facilitator will address the "6 Things that Matter Most" as it relates to healthcare and wellness. You will be able to Recharge as you learn the impact of lifestyle behaviors.
