Description:
Health care reform has been one of the defining issues of the current U.S. presidential campaign. Both candidates agree that America's current health care system is broken, but their ideas for how to fix it differ drastically. Representatives for Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Republican candidate John McCain will face off on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to debate reform proposals in detail.
Economist and Senior Fellow at the Independence Institute, Linda Gorman will represent the McCain Campaign and the Republican perspective.
Dr. Irwin Redlener, a senior health care advisor to the Obama campaign, will offer the Democratic perspective.
The University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine's LEADS program will sponsor the debate.
