Secular Support For Sobriety

What:	There is a new Lifering Secular Recovery meeting on Monday evenings from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Washington Park United Church of Christ at 400 S. Williams St. (alley entrance). Lifering is a non-profit peer support group for people who want to maintain abstinence from alcohol and other addictive drugs. Although Life ring recognizes and respects the success of the 12-Step programs in helping many alcoholics and addicts to acheive sobriety, we hope to provide additional support for those who may not feel comfortable with AA's spiritual emphasis.
