Colorado State University Extension is offering their Colorado Gardener Certificate training in Denver. These non-credit classes are focused on non-commercial, home gardening. Topics include how plants grow, soils and fertilizers, amendments, insects, diseases, lawn care, trees and shrubs, weed management, plant health care and problem diagnosis. Elective classes are offered in perennials, fruits, vegetables and more.
The 6 hour daytime classes are held on Thursdays for 9 weeks starting January 14. Certificates may be displayed in places of business and in business marketing. The cost is $500 for tuition and class fees.
